pictures

To add a picture, go to : "add a document" on the left, go and upload it from your hard disk (100k maxi)

when it’s possible, the jpeg or jpg pictures are better on a website
if it’s more than 100 k, (to check its weight, right clic on it, "properties")
To light it, numerous tools exist.
By instance below are explanations for a software included in Microsoft Office, but if you haven’t it, you can download free "Picasa" of Google or "Irfanview" (you will find them easily in search motors)
right click on the picture, "open with", "Microsoft Office Picture Manager" (explanations are the same with other softwares)
button "modify the pictures"above, then "compress the pictures" in the right menu.
"compress pictures for web pages"

attention ! if you want to keep your original picture like before, "save under" and new name for modified picture, and close Picture Manager whithout saving modifications, because your original picture would be also modified.

ok, now your picture is less than 100k and is uploaded.

never put a legend in the title, because future translators would have problems. It’s not possible to change the title in other pages, even if you would take the same picture whith another meaning in the same language. You don’t see the picture’s title in the private area, so you have a surprise with the preview. See further how to put a legend

You see the pictures whith et , position left, center ou right. Copy and paste one of them like the 2 following examples :

you could also smile !
hi Greg, still working ?

you get the little picture with zoom if you insert in your text : < docXXX|left> (without space after < )
(if I don’t put this space in this example, there will be nothing visible in the public area)

and on the right the same picture if you insert < embXXX|right> (still without space after < )

to put a legend under a picture : put the sign "|" (alt Gr +6) and "text=" like < docxxx|left|text=hi Greg, still working ?> (still without space after < )

to put a bubble on a picture : put the sign "|" (alt Gr +6) and "text=" like < docxxx|left|text=you could also smile !> (still without space after < )
(attention : no question mark in the text of "alt")
Attention : in this version, it’s not possible to put a legend under big pictures with (< emb>)

and nowadays, a bug in internet explorer cancels effects of "left" "right" of pictures with legends. It still works with Firefox, and I didn’t test other navigators, but internet explorer, is at least used by 85% of web users !
So have your text conforms with that. I will inform you as soon as there will be a change.

You can use a picture of another article if you take its number in the private area.
